Ton Jansen

Ton Jansen, started his career at KLM in 1980, with an economic background, were he worked in the Accounting -, Cargo – and the Maintenance divisions. After 10 years he moved to Iberia, were he worked as Cargo Manager and performed various management projects. In 2000 he graduated with distinction on an Executive MBA General and Strategic Management program with specialisation in Aviation Management. After finalizing his degree, he worked on Interim Management and Consultancy assignments throughout the aviation industry (airport/aero-political and airlines) and related service industries. 

He is strongly related with innovation and new business model designs with a strong customer focus and strategic positioning. 

Ton performed assignments on behalf of Lufthansa Consulting, IATA, DHV(NACO) and various IT companies (Imtech/PAC/CSC) on aviation related Business Process Re-engineering. Ton is connected to Maastricht School of Management (QNAC) were he lectured the aviation modules of an Aviation Executive program. 

 

Apart from aviation, also telecom and energy (renewable) sector asked for his abilities as transition mediator achieving changing business cultures, accepting new technologies.  

  Ton is a team player and likes to drive initiatives. Open innovation, knowledge sharing and challenging people to take responsibility for stepping in new worlds is his passion. Ton is part of a wide and knowledgeable network of academic specialists.  

 His hobbies are korfbal, golf and ‘learning’.

The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
