Dennis McCall

Hailing from the twin-island Federation of St. Kitts & Nevis, Dennis is a 27-year-old Air Transport Management PhD student at De Montfort University Leicester, United Kingdom.

In 2016, he left the Federation in pursuit of higher education at the UWI Cave Hill and graduated in 2019 with a BSc in Management (Tourism & Hospitality Management) Upper Second-Class Honours. Dennis has had a passion for aviation since the tender age of 5 and devoted most of his younger years to playing flight simulator. His burning passion inspired him to migrate to the United Kingdom in 2019, where he completed a MSc in Air Transport Management (Distinction) at De Montfort University and was awarded the Leicester Castle Business School Prize for the Best Student Performance on MSc Air Transport Management. 

Dennis’s research is focused on Sustainable Aviation in Small Island Developing States with hopes of developing a sustainable aviation framework for the Caribbean. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, playing flight simulator and singing.

The Dutch Caribbean Cooperation of Airports (DCCA) is organizing the 1stInternational Sustainable Air Transportation event called “A Flight To The Future” in Aruba in November 2022. A one-week event filled with presentations, panel discussion, masterclasses and test flight demonstrations with the Pipistrel Velis Electro, the first certified electric aircraft, all with the purpose of sharing knowledge, creating dialogue on the future of aviation and on interisland connectivity in the Dutch Caribbean.
